Welcome!

Most of the stuff on here can be found on other sites, however, I will also have information that I have discovered on my own. I hope that you will find something new that you did not know before!

Paper Piecings

How to Make Simple Paper Piecings, With Out having the Cartridge!

I'm going to use my Cute Dino Altered stencil for the example on this!

Here I put the dino in the size I wanted it, and I clicked the 'weld' button (even tho it's not touching anything) so that when I hit the preview, I could see the outline darker

I then opened my paint program, and pasted and cropped
So then I had:

Then I just printed it out, and attached the part that I would be cutting off to dark green cardstock (since it was going to be cut out, I used a few staples.)

Once cut out, I had my cardstock cut out to the outline, and the white plain computer paper were both still in tact. I used Versa Mark Ink in Brown to give it more of a texture look to it (the cardstock was already textured, but this added to it, and gave it more of a definition)
And I used a marker - looking at the white copy to see where to put the lines.

I attached the white paper to an orange paper so that I could cut the beak and bottom mouth part. This once cut out was attached to the green bird, and I used a red glaze pen to fill in the tongue.

So it was kinda like taking an image from DS by using the print screen option, and turning it into a paper piecing pattern, and using that, except this is flat and in one piece besides the mouth.
